Q1:

Yes, you can - as long as the components sourced are suitable for the intended application, and are delivered directly and promptly to our facility.  However, we do prefer to source all components on our customers’ behalf, for a number of reasons:

  • We have a huge network of trusted supply partners who have worked with us for years
  • We’re able to manage the whole process and divert any problems
  • We can use our existing relationships to get you more competitive prices
  • We’re able to regulate the flow of components depending on market demand

If you would like to talk to us about setting up a component management arrangement using components you have sourced, please do get in touch and we’ll do our best to advise.

Q2:

Our component management service is designed to make your life easier. Running a business is hard enough on a day-to-day basis without factoring in all the potential pitfalls of component sourcing. How do you know who provides quality components? Which suppliers are reliable? Are you getting the best price and the best deal? Our component management service is here to take these uncertainties out of the equation. Not only that, but we save you time, space, and money. All you have to do is let us know what you need, and we’ll work with our global network of suppliers to handle the rest.

Q3:

Yes, we’re able to source componentry in a variety of materials, including plastic, other metals, glass, and electrical components. We’re happy to store these items in-house alongside our extruded aluminium stock as part of our component management solution, and to include them as part of our component assembly service.

Q4:

The cost of our component management service depends on a number of factors, including:

  • The volumes you want us to source and stock
  • The complexity of the components, and the difficulty in procuring them
  • Turnaround times

However, it’s worth remembering that our component management service wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t a more affordable solution than businesses sourcing and stocking components individually. We use our decades of experience, global network of experts, and technical expertise to source you the best quality, most suitable components for your project. We use only trusted supply partners, with whom we have longstanding arrangements, keeping your supply flow steady and your prices as low as possible.

Q5:

We do everything in our power to keep our component management service competitive, not just in terms of cost, but in terms of service and quality. Working with a global network of suppliers allows our component management team to find the absolute best quality and price for you, taking into account global metal prices and exchange rates. And because we’re not tied to one supplier, we’re able to shop around for the lowest prices, as well as avoiding any interruptions in supply. Likewise, when we’re sourcing larger volumes of components, we’re able to go to two or more suppliers in order to fulfil your requirements.
